  6. PinUp Notes is a shareware program.  You are welcome to try it 
  7. out free of charge.  However, if you like it and decide to 
  8. keep it on your system, you are obligated to register your copy 
  9. by paying $5.95 U.S. to the author at the address given below.  
  10. Registration entitles you to legally use this and all future 
  11. releases of PinUp notes, notification of future releases, and 
  12. limited technical support.

  14. PinUp notes provides small pop-up windows for taking notes and 
  15. capturing graphics.  Upon running PINUP11.EXE, a PinUp Notes icon 
  16. will appear at the bottom of your screen.  Double click the left 
  17. mouse button on the icon to create a text note.  Double click the 
  18. right mouse button to create a bitmap note.  Both types of notes 
  19. may be created from the icon's system menu as well.
  20.  
  21. Text notes are used to enter and store text from the keyboard.  
  22. Simply select the note and type in.  Bitmap notes are used to 
  23. copy and store regions of the screen.  To do this, select the 
  24. Grab option from the bitmap note's system menu, and use the 
  25. mouse to outline the rectangular region to be copied.  The image 
  26. will be stretched to fit into the dimensions of the note window.

  28. Both kinds of notes may be minimized.  Also, a note's caption
  29. may be changed to reflect its contents by selecting the Caption 
  30. option from the note's system menu.

  32. Upon exiting Windows, any notes that are still open will be saved
  33. in a file named PINUP11.NTS.  The notes will then be automatically 
  34. restored the next time PinUp Notes is executed.  Loading PinUp 
  35. Notes from your WIN.INI file makes this feature particularly
  36. useful.

  38. One last tip...clicking left once on the PinUp Notes icon brings 
  39. all existing notes to the top of any other windows currently 
  40. displayed on the screen.

  42. PinUp Notes is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, 
  43. either express or implied.  No liability is assumed from any 
  44. damage or loss resulting from the use of this program.  You are 
  45. free to copy and share PinUp Notes with others, as long as the 
  46. two files PINUP11.EXE and PINUP11.TXT are distributed together 
  47. and not modified in any way.

  49. Shareware distributors are permitted to include PinUp Notes with 
  50. their distributions, but any fee charged by the distributor DOES 
  51. NOT cover the $5.95 registration fee that you the user owe to 
  52. author if you decide to keep and use PinUp Notes.

  68. for technical support, which may consist of technical questions, 
  69. comments, and requests for improvements.  Of course, every effort

  80. 1.1    12/27/91 - Fixed bug which caused saved notes to drop in 
  81.     position each each time the .nts file was reloaded.  Added 
  82.     "safe save" - writes notes to a temporary file then renames 
  83.     to .nts.  Only resaves .nts file when notes have been changed.
  84.     Also, always writes .nts file to Windows directory now.
